1/2 cup fat-free buttermilk or Greek yogurt
1 ripe banana
1 cup fresh or frozen berries. I used strawberries.
1 apple, cored but not peeled. In season I use a peach.
1 - 2 oranges, juice only
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats, I use organic I can buy in bulk at the health food store.
1/4 cup chia seeds, you can find these at a heath food store as well
1/4 cup raw almonds
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth. About 30 to 60 seconds depending on your blender. If it's too thick add a little water.
Add a cup of ice and crush/blend for another 15 -25 seconds. Pour into a tall glasses or two smaller ones and share one. Enjoy!
